The List - books

Week one into the The List and I've managed to keep up the photo a day promise, although I am already failing the keep a diary every day plan. This is not unexpected. However, I have watched my first Oscar-winning movie - Patton - and started my first book - The Adventures of Goodnight and Loving. I've also joined the Butterfly Conservation group and learned my first new word. For anyone interested, it's 'bathos'. I've heard it before but never really knew what it meant. According to the book 500 Words You Should Know, it means 'anti-climax, a descent from something emotional into something banal'.
